Mr. Pulkit Gupta

Pulkit Gupta is a Partner in the Restructuring and Turnaround Strategy practice at Ernst & Young (EY) India, where he specialises in formal insolvency, interim management and special situations advisory services. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, 2006) and holds a Commerce degree from Delhi University. Pulkit is also a registered Insolvency Professional with IBBI and possesses a Certificate of Proficiency in Corporate Insolvency from the Insolvency Professional Association (IPA), UK. He has been with EY since 2008 and has also worked with the EY UK Restructuring team between 2014 and 2016, enhancing his global perspective on turnaround engagements.

At EY, Pulkit works with corporates, lenders and stakeholders across the business lifecycle, helping organisations navigate complex financial stress, insolvency proceedings and strategic transformations. His functional expertise spans operational restructuring, financial viability assessments, interim management and formal insolvency under India’s Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.

Over the years, he has been involved in several notable insolvency and restructuring matters, including assignments such as Ruchi Soya, Amtek Auto, Bhushan Power & Steel, Uttam Galva, ACCIL, LAVASA, Vidarbha Power and Hotel Horizon among others.

Pulkit is recognised within the Indian insolvency ecosystem, including as Joint Vice-President of INSOL India’s executive committee, reflecting his active engagement with industry bodies focused on best practices and professional development in insolvency and turnaround.
