Senior Legal Officer and Head of the Non-Legislative Section in the International Trade Law Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs (ITLD), which serves as the substantive secretariat of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). She oversees ITLD’s work on technical assistance, capacity-building, uniform interpretation and application, and the promotion and dissemination of UNCITRAL texts. She also serves as Secretary of UNCITRAL Working Group V (Insolvency Law).

Since joining ITLD in 2004, she has worked on various areas of international commercial law, including insolvency law, public procurement, public-private partnerships, electronic commerce, security interests, and negotiable cargo documents.

Before joining ITLD, she worked in the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, servicing United Nations bodies on public international law issues. Her professional background also includes several years of commercial law practice in an international law firm.
