Ms. Saloni Kothari is the Group General Counsel and a Partner in the Deal Advisory practice at BDO India Services Pvt. Ltd, where she focuses on corporate legal strategy, risk advisory, dispute resolution, and insolvency-related work. She brings over a decade of specialised experience in the Indian Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code since its inception, advising on legal and commercial aspects of restructuring matters and complex contractual issues.

In her role as Group General Counsel, Saloni provides leadership on commercial contracts, governance frameworks, litigation risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal advisory across BDO India’s multidisciplinary practices. Prior to joining BDO, she practised at a full-service law firm in Mumbai, where she worked on dispute resolution, insolvency law, project finance documentation, loan agreements, and real estate matters.

Saloni holds an LL.B. from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She also completed a Certificate in International Business and Business Communication at the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley—an indication of her global legal and commercial grounding.

At BDO, she forms part of the firm’s senior corporate leadership team, contributing to legal strategy and advising the firm on enterprise risk and regulatory developments in India’s dynamic business environment. Saloni also serves as a Board Member of BDO EDGE, an India-based Centre of Excellence within the broader BDO global network.
