Ms. Pooja Bahry is a distinguished Insolvency Professional and currently serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee of INSOL India. Ms. Bahry is among the earliest and most accomplished women professionals in India’s insolvency landscape, being the third woman to be licensed as an Insolvency Professional after the enactment of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC).

Ms. Pooja brings over 23 years of specialised experience in stressed assets management, NPA resolution, corporate restructuring and insolvency. Prior to her IBBI registration, she acted as a consultant to more than 40 banks and financial institutions, assisting them in turnaround strategies and resolution frameworks for stressed portfolios totalling over ₹11,000 crore.

In her practice as a Resolution Professional, Ms. Bahry has been at the forefront of managing complex insolvency matters under the IBC. She has successfully handled multiple insolvency resolution cases, including steering the revival process of United News of India (UNI) as the appointed Resolution Professional - a significant and high-profile insolvency engagement completed within statutory timelines.

Ms. Pooja regularly appears before National Company Law Tribunals and has been involved in matters that have contributed to evolving jurisprudence in the insolvency domain. Outside of casework, she is a highly regarded faculty member for the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), various Insolvency Professional Agencies (IPAs), government authorities, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and leading law and management universities delivering lectures and training on aspects of IBC, corporate insolvency resolution process and restructuring.

She is also registered with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) as a Certified Independent Director, reflecting her commitment to corporate governance excellence.

Ms. Pooja is an alumna and Gold Medalist of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, where her academic distinction laid the foundation for a career marked by integrity, strategic insight and leadership in India’s restructuring and insolvency ecosystem.
